Lay Hing brings extensive experience research and analytics as well as a passion for projects that bring about social change that will benefit individuals, communities and societies. Lay Hing de Kort-Yee holds a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Economics and a Master of Science in the field of Finance. She has 10+ years of relevant experience in conducting wide range of studies and research for the purpose of writing business plans, feasibility studies, market research and socio-economic impact studies working as an analyst at a local Investment Bank. Projects range from mid to large size ventures in hospitality, tourism, agriculture, infrastructure and construction sector, amongst others. Her analytical skills are certainly one of her strengths, as her career evolved mainly providing insights to management and clients as an analyst at the Aruba Investment Bank and later as a financial analyst and research specialist at the national tourism office (the Aruba Tourism Authority). She is also member of the board of the Court of Audit of Aruba.
Lay Hing has been always been passionate about volunteerism and has been involved in several non-profit organizations and initiatives at a very young age. Some of the organizations she has been part of: Red Cross Aruba, Scouting Aruba (leader), Circle K of the University of Aruba (board member), Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals (board member), Family First Foundation (board member) and Ambassador of Aruba Doet.
